Paul Sells, Larry Whalen, and Brian Palmer raised the flags at Legion Park on Flag Day, June 14. The flag poles were finished a few weeks ago and installed by Mike Huppert and Randy Miller. The park has seen several improvements as part of a recent overhaul. “Mike Huppert and Randy Miller have been instrumental in helping with the work being done in the park,” said Councilman Don Ferguson. Some of the features include a new fence, a new basketball court with lights donated by the Board of Public Works and a military memorial area adorned with flowers and decorative rocks where the flags were raised. A dedication for the park will be held at a later date. (Photo by Nikki McKim)
