Ruth A. McKim, 70 years of age, of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, August 2, 2018. She was born on February 3, 1948 at St. Mary’s, Iowa to Virgil and Helen (Seymour) Bauer Sr. Ruth graduated from Martinsdale High School in St. Mary’s, Iowa and later earned an LPN Degree. She and Larry J. McKim were married until he passed away in 1985. Ruth had been an LPN at the Beatrice Community Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beatrice. Ruth enjoyed sewing, crafts, collecting frogs, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Jamie McKim and wife Courtney of Laramie, Wyoming and Kelli Simpson and husband Brian of Beatrice; siblings Virgil Bauer Jr. and wife Marilyn of Indianola, Iowa, Betty Hathorne and Rita Primmer, both of Ankeny, IA; 3 grandchildren Brenden and Bailey Simpson, and Max McKim; sister in law Marsha Scheiber and husband George from Kansas, and Mike McKim and wife Mary from Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Helen (Seymour) Bauer Sr.; and husband Larry McKim (1985).
