This year the people of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20th and Towle Street, are celebrating 100 years of ministry in the Falls City area. Throughout 2013, the congregation will be hosting events to allow the community to join in the celebration. It is in that spirit of rejoicing that the people of St. Paul’s invite the community to a free concert at the church at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5. The concert will feature two performances by two vocal ensembles from Midland University in Fremont.
The Midland Chamber Choir sings a wide range of traditional and contemporary music, and the Clef Dwellers are a mixed-voice a cappella group that puts its own spin on pop, jazz and rock favorites.
A time of fellowship will follow the concert, with cookies, coffee and other light refreshments. All are welcome for an afternoon of great music and fellowship featuring a group of talented young musicians.
Stay tuned for more information on upcoming community events, including Vacation Bible School, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 28 and 29, and the Founder’s Day Community Pool Party on Saturday, June 15.
