Dearl Eickhoff, 87, of Falls City, NE, passed away January 23, 2024 at Falls City. He was born August 26, 1936 at Falls City to Herman and Elva (Baker) Eickhoff.
He married Alice Richmond on May 13, 1956 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, six miles north of Falls City.
Dearl was raised in the rural Verdon area and graduated Verdon High School in 1954. Following graduation, he worked for Freisen Implement and farmed with his father. When married the couple established their home on the family farm northeast of Falls City where he farmed and raised livestock. He and Alice lived there for 49 years before moving to Falls City. He retired from farming in 2006. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Dearl is survived by his children, Martin and his wife Mary of Falls City, twins, Darren and his wife Donna of Falls City and Danette Seelig of Horseshoe Bay, TX, Sean and his wife Michelle of St. Louis, MO, a brother, Jerry and his wife Karen of Lincoln, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Elaine Nadine in infancy and a brother, Gary.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Christ Lutheran Church with Reverend Ken Humphrey officiating. Inurnment will be in Silver Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at Christ Lutheran Church.
