Falls City will open the holiday season with a full weekend of activities beginning Friday, Nov. 28, with the community’s annual Lighted Christmas Parade.
The parade will start at 6 p.m. on Stone Street and will feature lighted vehicles and floats. Several activities will take place downtown before and after the parade, including free horse drawn sleigh rides, visits with Santa, children’s activities in an elves workshop, a hot cocoa station, a soup supper and late night shopping at participating businesses.
Holiday events will continue Saturday, Nov. 29, with Shop Small Saturday. The promotion runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at participating Falls City businesses. Shoppers can enter the Jackpot Jingle for a chance to win $500. Additional information about participating businesses is available at fallscitychamber.com.
Prichard Auditorium will also host a Christmas Vendor Festival on Saturday. The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 312 W. 17th St. and will feature more than 50 craft and direct sales vendors offering seasonal items and handcrafted goods.
The weekend lineup is organized to bring shoppers downtown, support local businesses and mark the start of the holiday season in Falls City.
