In a press release issued by Falls City Public School, Falls City Activities Director Gale Dunkhas stated the following, “Falls City High School has made the decision that Jack Bangert will no longer serve in the role as Head Football Coach, effective immediately. Unfortunately, our on-field performance has not lived up to the expectation we have for the program. This decision will allow us to move forward, in what we believe, will be in the best long-term interest of the football program.
Falls City Public Schools extends its sincere appreciation to Coach Bangert for his time, leadership, and dedication to our student-athletes. Over his tenure, Coach Bangert has worked hard to build relationships with his players and families, we are grateful for his efforts and commitment to Tiger football.
Coach Bangert has given a great deal of time and energy to our program. I want to thank him for his hard work and commitment during his time as our head coach.
Falls City High School will begin the process of selecting a new head coach in the coming weeks. The district remains focused on providing a positive, growth-oriented experience for all student-athletes and looks forward to the continued support of our community as the program moves forward.
Gale Dunkhas, Assistant Principal/Activities Director”
