Jack Elmo Oslin was born on November 10, 1928 to Earl and Hazel Oslin in Falls City, Nebraska. He spent early childhood, the oldest of four boys, in Shubert, Nebraska. He graduated from Falls City High School in 1947 where he was an outstanding athlete. He played football and basketball on championship teams.
