Mary Evelyn Fouraker (nee Frederick), was born March 13, 1922, in Rulo, Nebraska to John Herman Frederick and Catheron Annette Frederick (nee Kanaly). Mary grew up seven miles southwest of Falls City until marrying Harold (Harry) Edwin Fouraker on June 1, 1940, at which time they moved to the town of Salem. She moved to Falls City in 1990, two years after the death of her husband.
Preceding Mary in death was her husband, Harry; two sons, Gerald and Edwin Joseph; daughter-in-law, Virginia Kentopp Fouraker; three daughters, Patricia Fouraker, Sonjia Shaw Kunze, Pauline Ann Fouraker, a grandson Joseph Fouraker, Jr. of the Phillipines; her brothers Joseph Frederick and John Frederick, and five sisters: Regina Eickelberger, Catheron Collins, Bernadette Guzzardo, Margaret Porter, and Betty Johnson.
Surviving Mary are two sons: John Fouraker of Salem, Nebraska and Patrick Fouraker of Tecumseh, Nebraska, and three daughters: Kathryn Johnson (Butch) of Eudora, Kansas, Helen Fouraker of Bellevue, Nebraska, Regina Farrell (David) of Winston, Oregon, one brother: James Frederick of Menlo Park, California, and one sister: Cecilia Collins of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Also surviving Mary are eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Hall Funeral Home, Falls City, Nebraska. There will be a Rosary at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 2. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 3 at the same location.
Internment is at St. Herman’s (Maple) Cemetery in Salem, Nebraska following the funeral mass.
