Theone Kuhlman, 95, of Falls City, passed away March 10, 2018 in Falls City. She was born March 29, 1922 in Humboldt, to William and Fannie (Deubelbeiss) Imhof. She married Alvin Kuhlman on Oct. 7, 1940 in Hiawatha. He passed away Dec. 23, 1991. Theone was raised at Humboldt and when married the couple established their home on a farm northeast of Falls City of Falls City. They moved to Shubert in 1947 and into Falls City in 1952. She was a homemaker and worked at Flannigan’s Grill, then at Candlelight Cabin and for over 30 years she was employed at the Falls City Country Club, retiring in the late 90’s. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th and Towle), American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
Theone is survived by her daughters, Lila Stafford and Kim Oliver and her husband Brad both of Falls City, sister, Wilma June Koeneke of Johnson, NE and a grandson, Braden Oliver of Falls City, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Lance Corporal Melvin Kuhlman, KIA, Donald Kuhlman and a sister, Verna Kammerer.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
