Beverly Torkelson, 79, of Falls City, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at Falls City. She was born Oct. 23, 1935 at Salem to the late Floyd and Ruth (Darby) Shaw.
She married Lawrence Torkelson on Aug. 25, 1955 at Falls City.
Beverly moved to Falls City at the age of eight and when married established her home in California. She returned to Falls City in 1978 and worked at the Hotel Stephenson as a desk clerk.
She was a member of the First Christian Church at Falls City
Beverly is survived by a son, Steven Torkelson, of Bakersfield, CA; daughters, Londha (Gary) Anderson, of Bakersfield; Ruth RaNae (Michael) Pionke, of Topock, AZ; sister-in-law, JoEtta Shaw, of Falls City; four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Arlis Shaw, in infancy; brothers, LeRoy and Donald Shaw.
A private inurnment will be Maple Cemetery at Salem.
