Falls City writer Lori Gottula, a regular contributor to The Falls City Journal, last week was named one of 12 winners of the Guideposts Writers Workshop Contest and in late October will spend a week at the Workshop, held at the Wainwright Mansion on Long Island, N.Y. — all expenses paid.
The contest is only held every two years, and according to an editor’s blog from the 2012 contest, there are “several thousand entries.” Guideposts editors pick 12 winners, who win all-expenses-paid trip to the workshop, which is sponsored by bestselling author Debbie Macomber (author of “Cedar Cove,” and “Love Letters”).

1.) Those with paid subscriptions to the print edition of the Journal please click HERE. A new window will open and you will be redirected to the e-edition application. Please read the instructions at the top of the page before filling out the registration.
2.) To purchase the E-edition, on the left side of the fcjournal.net home page, click the blue ‘Create an account’ link. A new page will open and please fill out the necessary information in the ‘User Registration’ form below the heading, ‘New User Account With Membership Subscription.’ After you have completed the form, click ‘Register’ and you will be redirected to the Journal’s PayPal account where you can pay for your subscription. After payment is made you will be taken back to the home page where you can use your log-in name and password to begin using your subscription. Please allow a few minutes for your payment to process before logging in to the site.
