Dale Lincoln Hanika, 88, of Lincoln (formerly Falls City), passed away on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at The Waterford at College View Assisted Living in Lincoln. He was born in Shubert on Feb. 12, 1928 to Harold and Pearl (Sailors) Hanika.
Dale served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss, TX, from 1954-56. After serving, Dale farmed and was owner of Dale Hanika Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning in Falls City for many years.
He is survived by his son, Steve (Patti) Hanika, of Wheaton, IL; daughter, Cindy (Steve) Brunken, of Lincoln; grandchildren and spouses, Justin and Meghan Hanika, Kristin Hanika, Scott and Ryan Brunken, and Lauren Brunken; great-granddaughter, Madison Hanika.
A gathering for family and friends was held Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 in Lincoln. A private family burial will be held at the Harris Cemetery in Barada. Memorials in care of the Capital Humane Society.
