MARJ CRAMER

Marj Cramer, 94, of Falls City, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Nebraska City. She was born Nov. 21, 1921 at DeKalb, MO, to the late John and Aro (Noland) Timberlake.

On Oct. 5, 1941 she married Jiles Cramer at Kansas City, MO. He passed away Feb. 27, 2007.

Marj was raised in the St. Joseph, MO, area and graduated from Benton High School in 1939. When married, the couple established their home in Kansas City. They lived various places until moving to Falls City in 1958 and she became a bookkeeper for Appleoff Appliance and Mutt and Jeff Drive In. She retired in 1982 and stayed busy taking care of grandchildren, cooking and gardening.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church at Falls City

Marj is survived by daughters, Marsha Brennan, of Rulo, and Marliss (Joe) Miller, of Nebraska City; son-in-law, Larry Lent, of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Lynn Lent; granddaughter, Vickie Lynn Lent; son-in-law, Dick Brennan; brother, John Timberlake; and a sister, Dorothy Gilmore.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. John Hogue officiating. Inurnment at Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, Falls City.
