DELPHIA VICE

Delphia Vice, 87, of Falls City, NE, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at Falls City. She was born on Dec. 23, 1928 at Rulo to the late Herman and Louise (Scheitel) Reschke.

Delphia was raised in rural Richardson County and graduated from Falls City High School in 1946. She worked at various places and did bookkeeping for Darling Transfer. She also worked for all the dry cleaners doing alterations. She retired from doing alterations in 2007 and then stayed busy out on the farm.

She married Venton Vice on May 20, 1947 at Hiawatha, KS. When married, the couple established their home in Falls City until moving to the farm in 1971. Mr. Vice passed away Sept. 6, 2009.

Delphia was a member of First Christian Church.

She is survived by sons, Steven Lynn and Gary Vice, both of Springfield, MO, and Rick (Pam) Vice, of Rulo; sister, Helen Morehead, of Falls City; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Delphia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Richard Reschke; and a grandson, Joshua Vice.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, with Rev. Fay Ann officiating. Interment at Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
