RICKY L. RHODD

Ricky L. Rhodd, 61, of Lincoln,  passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island. The son of Richard Rhodd and Celia (Hellwig) Miller, he was born on Feb. 27, 1955 in Falls City, one of three children born to this union.

Ricky was a member of the Iowa Tribe and was raised in Rulo. He attended school in Falls City and later enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served his country honorably.

He moved to Lincoln, where he worked mostly as a laborer in a factory specializing in manufacturing and fabrication. Ricky was a cowboy at heart and loved it.

In 1993, he was united in marriage to Joy Snyder and they later divorced. He was a proud father of three sons, a loving grandfather and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Duane Rhodd.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Green, and Jacob and Aaron Rhodd; grandsons, Bryson and Byron Green; sisters, Connie (Scott) Elrod, Anita (Ed) Delong, and Toni (Wayne) Allen; other relatives and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Tesson Cemetery on the Iowa Tribe Reservation near White Cloud. Graveside military honors will be provided by the Iowa Tribal Honor Guard. Viewing and visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Hall Funeral Home in Falls City. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m.
