SUE ROLFE

Sue Rolfe, 54, of Falls City, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016. She was born on Feb. 24, 1962 at Grand Island to Ralph and Peggy (Burke) Exstrom.

On March 5, 1988, she married Michael Rolfe at Valley, NE.

Sue was raised at Valley and graduated from Valley High School in 1980. When married, the couple established their home in Hastings for four years, then moved to Alliance, Detroit Lakes, MN, and settled in Falls City in 1998, where she worked for Community Medical Center as a pharmacist.

She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College at St. Peter, MN, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy and graduated with a Doctorate of Pharmacology.

Sue was a member of First United Methodist Church at Falls City and was a member of the church choir. For many years she was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and also was involved with Rainbow Girls.

She is survived by her husband, Michael, of Falls City; daughters, Andrea (Joe) Wisniewski, and Ashley Rolfe, all of Omaha, and Gillian Rolfe, of Falls City; son, Rodney Mount, of Lincoln; parents, Ralph and Peggy Exstrom, of Valley; brothers, Steve (Angela) and Scott (Nancy) Exstrom, both of Valley; sister, Deb Exstrom, of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Blake, Charlie and Zoe.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lyle Schoen and Rev. John Hogue officiating. Inurnment will be at Plainview Cemetery at Maxwell, NE, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Falls City Girl Scouts or the Richardson County Humane Society. Friends may sign the registry book beginning Monday during regular business hours. Dorr & Clark Funeral Home, Falls City, is in charge of arrangements.
